LOS ANGELES June 21, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Actress Lynda Carter has been signed to appear in the second season of “Supergirl.”

Entertainment Weekly is reporting the former Wonder Woman will appear in several episodes of the hit series as the President of the United States.

Carter will first appear in episode 203.

The news is hardly a surprise after executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg revealed their plans back in March. They had hoped Carter would appear in the first season, but the timing didn’t work out, so they planned to bring her on in season two as the US President.

Carter’s appearance follows guest roles by several other superhero alums, including “Lois and Clark” star Dean Cain and “Supergirl” actress Helen Slater, who play Supergirl’s adoptive parents.

Just last week it was announced Tyler Hoechlin will appear in the series as Superman.

“Supergirl” will return Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
