TORONTO, Nov. 21 (UPI) — Goldberg and Brock Lesnar finally met face-to-face Sunday at WWE Survivor Series as Raw and Smackdown Live battled for brand supremacy.

The main event, which was hyped for months, shockingly ended in mere minutes as the returning Goldberg — who hasn’t wrestled in 12 years –unleashed a flurry of his patent moves moments after the bell rang.

Lesnar, known for dominating his opponents, did not get any offense in after initially pushing Goldberg into the ring post. Goldberg responded to that with a push of his own followed by two devastating Spears and a Jackhammer to slay the Beast for the three count.

Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman looked on in shock as Goldberg celebrated his victory alongside his son as the crowd chanted “Gold-berg! Gold-berg!”

In much the same way that Goldberg dominated Lesnar, Team Raw was enjoying a night full of victories over Team Smackdown as the blue brand head into their men’s 5-on-5 Elimination Match against Raw desperately looking for a win.

The destructive bout saw alliances fall apart, Team Smackdown mascot James Ellsworth get thrown into a table for his efforts in helping to eliminate Team Raw’s Braun Strowman, The Shield briefly reunite, and Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon get escorted to the back by WWE doctor’s after he was Speared in mid-air by Roman Reigns.

As things finally settled down, only Raw’s Seth Rollins and Reigns remained against Smackdown’s Wyatt Family consisting of Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton who were accompanied by Luke Harper.

After Rollins was dispatched following an impressive mid-air RKO from Orton, Reigns gained the upper hand until he was taken out by Wyatt’s Sister Abigail after Orton sacrificed himself against Reigns’ Spear.

“The #WyattFamily’s @WWEBrayWyatt and @RandyOrton are survivors for Team #SDLive! #SurvivorSeries #FollowTheBuzzards,” WWE noted on Twitter alongside a photo of the group celebrating in the ring.

Other highlights from Survivor Series include Charlotte and Bayley winning for Team Raw’s women’s division, odd-couple Sheamus and Cesaro winning for Team Raw’s tag-team division, Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick retaining against Smackdown’s Kalisto to keep the Cruiserweight division on the red brand and The Miz defeating Sami Zayn to keep the Intercontinental Title on Smackdown.
