IRON COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 30, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman was killed Saturday afternoon when the vehicle in which she was a passenger rolled on Interstate 15 near Cedar City. The driver and six children were transported to area hospitals.

A Utah Highway Patrol news release says the vehicle, a 2003 Honda Odyssey minivan, was southbound on I-15 near mile marker 54 when another vehicle — either a semi or a large recreational vehicle, according to witnesses — started to change lanes, moving toward the Honda.

The driver tried to steer away from the other vehicle, but lost control of the Honda, which skidded off the road and onto the soft shoulder.

The Honda then rolled several times and finally came to rest on its wheels.

Nancy Morales, 27, of Cedar City, suffered fatal injuries when she was ejected from the vehicle. She was not wearing a seat belt, the news release says.

No information was available on the condition of the driver and the children Saturday night.
