HIGHLAND, Utah, March 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Lone Peak Police and medical personnel were at the scene of a fatal accident Monday night at the corner of State Route 92 and Alpine Highway (5300 West).

Sgt. Charlie Thurston, of LPPD, said the crash involved an eastbound sedan and a westbound pickup truck.

“The sedan turned left to go north, and was t-boned by the truck,” Thurston said.

The female passenger in the car was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The drivers of the car and the pickup truck were both transported to the hospital with “moderate to severe injuries,” Thurston said. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

The intersection was blocked while an accident reconstruction team was on site and officials began their investigation of the crash.

Thurston said there was no indication of impairment, “no red flags.”

No names or ages of those involved in the crash were available late Monday night.

Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information is released.
