WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Nov. 7, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating after a T-bone collision in West Valley City Thursday evening caused one of the vehicles to plow through a fence and into a tree.

West Valley City Sgt. Tyler Longman told Gephardt Daily the crash occurred near 4950 W. 3100 South at approximately 9:30 p.m.

According to Longman, the car that careened through the fence ended up with a piece of plywood going through the windshield.

The male driver was transported in critical condition to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

The driver of the other vehicle left the scene on foot but returned soon after.

“We’re still investigating on how the accident was caused,” Longman said. Officials are in the process of getting statements from the drivers and questioning witnesses.
