Twelve Year Old in Critical Condition After Unlicensed Driver Rolls Vehicle

Cache County, UT – March 31, 2015 –  At approximately 11 p.m. deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in Amalga where two people were standing outside the vehicle attempting to care for another passenger, a 12-year old female, who had been thrown from the vehicle during the crash.

A 16-year old female was driving with her 19-year-old brother and her 12-year-old sister when the vehicle rolled causing the 12-year-old, who was not wearing a seat belt, to be ejected.

The 12-year old juvenile was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital with life threatening injuries, and the other two victims were transported to an area hospital.

It is unknown at this time what caused the accident but the 16-year old driver did not have a driver’s license, and none of the occupants were wearing seat belts.

The occupants are siblings, and their names are not being released.
