14-year-old boy killed in Grantsville ATV farming accident

GRANTSVILLE, Utah, Oct. 18, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A 14-year-old boy was killed in a Grantsville farming accident Friday afternoon, when the ATV he was riding on rolled in a pasture while “making a tight turn.”

Grantsville Police Lt. Dave Greco told Gephardt Daily, the teen passenger was thrown from the vehicle and the ATV rolled on top of him.

“The teenage boy was declared dead at the scene,” Graco said.

The driver of the ATV was uninjured.

“They were dealing with cattle about 1:30 p.m., near the 6000 block of Burmester Road when the rollover happened,” according to Greco.

The exact cause of the rollover has yet to be determined.
