GRAND COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 4, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Grand County Sheriff’s Office has located a 15-year-old Boy Scout who had been missing since early Friday afternoon.

Kyler Wood was last seen mountain biking in the area of Gemini Bridges, the Grand County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release on Facebook Friday. He is not an experienced hiker/biker, officials said.

Kyler was found Saturday morning by the Utah Department of Safety helicopter and flown to command post on Gemini Bridge Road, a follow up Facebook post said.

“He is in good condition, but will be checked out by EMS,” the post said. “Great job by everyone involved in the effort to locate Kyler.”

The Scout group is from Vineyard, Utah.

Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Grand County Search and Rescue, National Park Service Personnel, Department of Public Safety Helicopter and Classic Helicopter all assisted in the search for the missing juvenile.
