WHITE CITY, Utah, March 8, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — A 15-year-old girl from White City is in custody after two shots were fired in a home Monday afternoon.

Unified Police Department Det. Ken Hansen told Gephardt Daily that officials responded on an “ungovernable fight” between two sisters.

“They thought they had resolved the issue, but after they left, although they were still out front, one of the sisters went into the dad’s bedroom, fired the gun, Dad heard that, Dad came in, and a struggle ensued between daughter and father,” Hansen said.

During the struggle, another shot was fired. Nobody was hit by either shot and Hansen said officers believe the teen was alone in the room when she fired the first shot.

Officers went back into the house and were able to disarm the girl.

The teen girl was taken into custody. She has not been identified because of her juvenile status.

The incident is under investigation, Hansen said.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
