19-year-old man killed in Carbon County rollover crash

CARBON COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 28, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — A 19-year-old man was killed in a rollover crash in Price on Saturday night.

“Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle rollover on Airport Road approximately a half-mile north of the Desert Thunder Raceway at 10:50 p.m.,” said a news release from Carbon County Sheriff’s Office. “Upon arrival, deputies saw a four-door sedan about 50 feet off the road on the west side of Airport Road. It was apparent the vehicle rolled to the destination and ejected one of the occupants.”

The driver of the vehicle stated that the accident was a result of an overcorrection from trying to miss a deer on the road.

“This tragic incident is still under investigation of the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office,” the news release said. “We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.”

The victim has not yet been identified pending notification of family.
