CLEARFIELD, Utah, Aug. 22, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A total of 2,762 customers are without power in Clearfield after a vehicle struck a power pole Thursday afternoon, according to Rocky Mountain Power.

A tweet from Clearfield City said the vehicle hit the pole at approximately 250 S. State St. at around 5:10 p.m. and caused significant damage to the pole.

“Crews are working on clearing the accident but power will be off for a large portion of the corridor for the next few hours, tentatively being restored at 10:30 p.m.,” the tweet said. “Avoid traveling along State Street due to stop lights being down. We will update you when power is restored.”
