PRICE CITY, Utah, July 22, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A man and woman, both already known to police, were arrested Friday after officers were tipped off about possible criminal activity at a west side motel.
A post on the Price City Police Department Facebook page says Adult Probation and Parole Agents John Vasquez and John Powell received the information about possible criminal activity and notified Officers Shawn Sackett and Randy Salyer.
The four officers went to the motel where David Michael “Mickey” Johnson, 33, and Krystal Marie Noyes, 32, both of Price, were staying.
They made contact with Johnson and Noyes and a security search of the room they were staying in was conducted.
“Items of paraphernalia were allegedly in plain view,” the post states.
The two were cooperative and respectful toward the officers, but Noyes refused to consent to a further search of the room, which was registered in her name.
A request for a search warrant was submitted to the Seventh District Court and was approved.
“Officers then allegedly discovered more paraphernalia, narcotics packaging materials, Horizon cards, over 5 ounces of methamphetamine, over 5 ounces of heroin, numerous prescription pills, over $2400 in cash, and ledgers with significant intelligence information for officers to follow up on,” the post continues.
Johnson was arrested and booked into jail on misdemeanor charges of:
- Possession of heroin
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Noyes was arrested and booked into jail on felony charges of:
- possession of heroin with intent to distribute
- possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
- possession of a controlled substance (pills) with intent to distribute
Noyes is also facing misdemeanor charges of:
- possession of methamphetamine
- possession of heroin

The Carbon County Attorney’s Office will review the report to determine the appropriate formal charges.
“According to court records, Mr. Johnson has 11 previous arrests including alcohol offenses, domestic violence, forgery, drug, and theft offenses. Ms. Noyes has 8 previous arrests including drug, and theft offenses,” the post concludes.
