KAYSVILLE, Utah, April 11, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Two schools were placed on temporary lockout Tuesday after a suicide victim believed to be in his 20s was found in a shared area between the schools.

The body was found at about 8:15 a.m. in the recreational green space between Kaysville Junior High School and Columbia Elementary School, according to Davis School District spokesman Chris Williams.

“He chose to end his life there,” Williams told Gephardt Daily.

No students or faculty members witnessed the suicide or were ever in any danger, he said.

The lockout was put in place mainly so no one would visit the field while the Kaysville Police Department was processing the scene, Williams said.

The lockout ended at about noon.
