PARLEYS CANYON, Utah, July 21, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Early morning joggers summoned the Utah Highway Patrol after they came upon the scene of a serious truck crash in Parleys Canyon on Saturday.
Troopers responding to the scene found a Ford F250 truck, which had been traveling west down the canyon when it veered off the road and onto the median, according to a UHP report.
The truck went airborne and came to a rest on its top on Lamb’s Canyon Road. The two male occupants, both in their 30s, sustained critical injuries.
Both men were transported to area hospitals; the driver by air and the passenger by ground.
Both men were wearing their seat belts, the report says.
There were no witnesses, and the crash was first reported at about 6 a.m. The vehicle was reported stolen, and impairment is being investigated as a possible contributing factor to the accident.
The investigation in ongoing, the UHP statement says.
