OGDEN, Utah, Jan. 23, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Two Ogden residents convicted of running a sex trafficking ring have been sentenced after pleading guilty last month to reduced charges.

Lynnsie Reddish, 21, and Terrance Jones, 31, each pleaded guilty in December to two counts of human trafficking — forced sexual exploitation, a second-degree felony, during an appearance in 2nd District Court.

On Monday, Reddish and Jones each were sentenced to one to 15 years on each of their two charges. Each will serve two to 30 years in prison.

The charges as originally filed were:

  • Two counts of aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony
  • Aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony
  • Pattern of unlawful activity, a second-degree felony
  • Nine counts of aggravated exploitation of a prostitute, a second-degree felony
  • Four counts of human trafficking — forced sexual exploitation, a second-degree felony
  • Money laundering, a second-degree felony

During preliminary hearings this summer, victims testified about abuse they said Reddish and Jones had inflicted, saying the two used fear, physical abuse or the promise of drugs to the addicted to coerce them into continuing acts of prostitution. Reddish and Jones took the money clients paid, they said.

Two charges were dropped for lack of evidence.
