SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 17, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Two drivers were rushed to the hospital Wednesday evening after an accident that left one in critical condition and the other stable.

Salt Lake City police raced to the scene, on 1300 South at about 800 West, at 5:55 p.m., Sgt. Jenn Diederich told Gephardt Daily.

“A male in his 50s was eastbound in the far right lane, and a male in his 40s in a westbound Camry crossed the center line and hit the truck head on,” Diederich said.

“Fire did an extraction. The man in the car was critical, and the man in the truck was stable. The vehicles were very, very mangled.”

Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the crash.

Gephardt Daily will have more information as it becomes available.
