ENOCH CITY, Utah, Oct. 31, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Two elderly women were flown to area hospitals in critical condition after a crash between a semi and an SUV in Enoch City Wednesday afternoon.

A tweet from the Utah Highway Patrol at 3:45 p.m. said the semi was southbound on SR-130, also known as Minersville Highway, and was in a “bobtail” configuration, meaning it was without a trailer.

A Ford Edge SUV was attempting to cross over SR-130 from the stop sign on eastbound Midvalley Road when the two vehicles collided.

The semi driver was transported by a personal vehicle to a local area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Enoch City is in Iron County, seven miles northeast of Cedar City.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
