21-year-old man booked for DUI after crashing vehicle into pole in SLC

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 26, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 21-year-old man was booked into jail for felony DUI and his passenger was transported to the hospital in serious condition after he crashed his vehicle into a pole Sunday night.

Dominic Lianpi, 21, was tested for DUI and subsequently arrested, the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

The incident happened in the area of 1300 S. 200 West just before 11:20 p.m., the news release said.

“A vehicle was westbound on 1300 South and drifted left of center and impacted a pole,” the news release goes on. “Officers responded and found an injured passenger in the back seat.”

This passenger was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Lianpi was not injured.
