Update: 25-year-old woman shot, killed in Magna home identified

MAGNA, Utah, July 16, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A 25-year-old woman who was shot and killed inside a home in Magna has been identified.

The deceased is Paige Espinoza, of Murray, the Unified Police Department said in a Twitter post Sunday afternoon.

The post added that detectives are still working on suspect information.

According to a statement by the UPD, the shooting took place early Sunday morning at 8400 W. Mix Ave. (3410 South).

Police say the shooter or shooters appeared to have targeted a southeast bedroom window, firing multiple shots in what’s being investigated as a possible drive-by or walk-by shooting. Officials later clarified the victim did not live at the home but was there visiting.

Three people were questioned by police inside the home.
