WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Nov. 17, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A vehicle stolen Wednesday afternoon was found shortly before 11 o’clock that night, along with three suspects who are now in custody.
According to West Valley City Police Lt. Amy Maurer, an officer on patrol spotted the vehicle and checked the license plate. When he learned that the vehicle had been reported as stolen, he attempted a traffic stop, but the driver pulled into an apartment complex near 4100 South and 4000 West, and fled on foot.
By then other officers were on the scene and locked down the complex.
Maurer said the driver and two passengers in the car, all male juveniles, were taken into custody. She did not know their exact ages.
