WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Nov. 6, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A man who thought he was going to meet up with a woman in West Valley City Tuesday morning got a shock when three men allegedly stole his car at knifepoint.

West Valley City police officials said the man arrived at The Redwood Apartments, at 4000 S. Redwood Road, just before 5:20 a.m., after he made plans to meet up with a woman he had encountered on social media.

When he got there, there was no sign of the woman, but three men reportedly threatened the man with a knife and stole his car.

The man was not injured, officials said.

The car is described as a black 2014 Chevrolet Impala with a temporary license plate.

The three men left in an unknown direction in the car.

Officials have not yet released a description of the suspects.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
