Update: 3900 South in Holladay partially reopens after crews cut natural gas line

HOLLADAY, Utah, April 3, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The area of 3900 South and 2000 East in Holladay has partially reopened after crews accidentally cut a natural gas line Wednesday afternoon.

Hazmat crews were dispatched to the scene after the full rupture of a 4-inch commercial natural gas line in the middle of the road, according to Unified Fire Authority officials.

Westbound 3900 South was shut down from 2000 East to Highland Drive, and businesses were evacuated.

The incident occurred at approximately 2 p.m., and by 5 p.m., all but one lane had reopened.
