UTAH – November 16, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Thousands of customers in two Utah counties are currently without power after a storm passed through most of northern Utah Monday afternoon.

According to Rocky Mountain Power spokesperson, Dave Eskelsen, crews are currently working to identify the cause of an outage affecting 2,759 customers in Mapleton. “We are not sure how long customers will be without power, but we do have a technician out looking for a cause,” Eskelsen said. “It is currently estimated to be restored around 6:30 p.m., but that is a computer-generated time and that can always change once we know more.”

Approximately 2,200 customers in Sandy were also without power Monday night. According to Rocky Mountain Power’s website, power was expected to be restored by 7 p.m.
