BEAVER COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 11, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials are offering a $5,000 reward for information in the killing of three wild horses.

Three wild horses were discovered shot to death on BLM-managed land near Minersville Reservoir in Beaver County, the Utah office of Bureau of Land Management said online.

The horses were found by a member of the public and reported to the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 4 in the mountains northwest of the reservoir.

“Evidence indicates the shooting likely happened several days before the horses were discovered,” the news release said.

The agency has launched an official investigation and requests any information from the public by calling the BLM Law Enforcement Tip line at 800-722-3998 or emailing BLM_UT_WHB@blm.gov.

“A $5,000 reward is being offered by BLM for info that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) who may have caused these senseless deaths.”

The agency can also be reached at 801-539-4001. The wild horses are protected by federal law. The Beaver County Sheriff’s Office shared the post announcing the reward on its social media.
