6 injured after pickup rolls 100 yards in Tibble Fork Canyon

Utah County, Utah, July 19, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Three people were severely injured and three others were treated and released when the pickup truck they were in rolled 100 yards down Tibble Fork Canyon early Thursday morning.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened about 12:34 a.m. when the driver of the pickup failed to negotiate a curve near Silver Lake Flat Reservoir on W. Granite Flat Road.

Two victims — one in critical and the other in serious condition — were taken by LifeFlight to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo.

Another seriously injured victim was taken by ground ambulance to American Fork Hospital.

Three others were released after being treated at the scene.

None of the victims’ names have yet to be released and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
