OGDEN, Utah, Sept. 4, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 65-year-old man died Tuesday night after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a vehicle on Washington Boulevard.
A news release from Ogden Police Department said the man was riding the bike northbound at about 8:25 p.m. in the 900 North block of Washington.
An 87-year-old woman driving a Toyota Camry southbound in the 800 North block attempted to turn left onto 900 North and did not see the motorcyclist. She turned in front of the motorcycle, which collided with her Toyota, the news release states.
The motorcyclist wasn’t wearing a helmet and suffered severe trauma. Medical personnel performed CPR, but the man died of his injuries while he was being transported to the hospital.
The accident is still under investigation, but police said impairment does not appear to be a factor at this time.
Police are asking drivers to be patient and expect delays northbound from the accident site. Investigators were still on scene at 10:30 p.m.
