67-Year-Old Man Rescued After Rolling ATV, Spending Night In Canyon Injured

MILLARD COUNTY, Utah, July 5, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A 67-year-old man was found injured by search and rescue crews Tuesday morning after being reported missing Monday afternoon by family.

Millard County Sheriff Deputies were called to the Oak Creek Canyon area after a report of a missing man who was last seen Monday at 4 p.m. riding his ATV.

The man was located at approximately 9:30 a.m. in South Walker Canyon. His ATV had rolled from the trail, causing serious injuries.

He was carried to the bottom of the canyon by SAR crew members, then flown by medical helicopter to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
