WEBER COUNTY, Utah, June 14, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Seven Ogden area teenagers were injured — four of them critically — after driving off a cliff in Weber County.

The accident happened just after midnight Thursday on State Route 39 in eastern Weber County near the border with Rich County.

Investigators from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office say the teens — ages 14 through 17 — were speeding when the Honda Accord they were in left the road and plunged 120 feet before landing in a tree.

One of the teens managed to climb back onto the road and called for help.

Four medical helicopters were dispatched to evacuate the four teens who were critically injured.

Three others were taken to the hospital by ground ambulance.

None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information becomes available.
