CLEARFIELD, UTAH – July 28, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — The victims of a three car accident, at SR-193 and the intersection of Center Street in Clearfield Tuesday afternoon, have been identified.

A 2000 Ford F250 driven by Christian Ferrin, 37, attempted to turn left onto SR-193 and struck the rear end of a 2002 Dodge Dakota which was driving eastbound.

The Dodge Dakota spun out of control and struck a 2013 Nissan Sentra travelling eastbound as well. All three occupants of the Nissan Sentra were transported to Davis Hospital and Medical Center via ambulance.

The driver of the Nissan Sentra, Casey David Archuleta, 37, had life-threatening injuries and finally succumbed to those injuries yesterday at the hospital.

Melissa Archuleta, 34, and Melissa’s 13-year-old daughter were passengers in the Sentra and were treated for less serious injuries.

Johnny Conover, the 26-year-old male driver of the Dodge Dakota, was transported to an Ogden area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The three victims with injuries which were not life-threatening have been released from the hospital.

SR-193 was closed for several hours after the accident but has since then reopened.

The Clearfield Police Department is still investigating the accident and is being assisted by the Utah Highway Patrol Accident Reconstruction Team as well as the Utah Medical Examiner’s Office.

After police receive witness statements, diagramming the accident and other evidence, charges may be considered.
