LEHI, Utah, Dec. 1, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) ─ A total of six vehicles, including a semi, were involved in an accident on I-15 near Thanksgiving Point Tuesday morning.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Chris Bishop, the accident happened near the SR-92 exit in Lehi at about 9:30 a.m.
Bishop said it appeared the sun may have caused several people to become confused about the lane lines, causing them to shift lanes incorrectly.
“There were five passenger cars damaged and a semi, that was empty, overturned during the accident,” Bishop Said. “Thankfully no one was seriously hurt, but three people were transported to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.”
The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. Bishop said they are expecting to have the scene cleared by 1 p.m.
