LINDON, Utah, Dec. 23, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — A traffic accident that forced the closure of I-15 near the Orem 1600 North exit left one person in critical condition Wednesday morning.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, the accident happened just before 11 a.m. Wednesday when the driver of a silver Toyota ran into the back end of a slower moving pickup. After the initial contact with the pickup, the silver car continued into the back end of a semi-box truck.
The 24-year-old female driver of the silver passenger car sustained critical head injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to a local hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
