LAYTON, Utah, Dec. 28, 2022 (Gephardt Daily) — An Amber Alert issued after a Layton teen was taken by a non-family member has been canceled after the boy was found safe.

The 13 year old was located in Grand Island, Nebraska, sitting in a car outside a gas station with suspect Aaron Zeman, who was taken into custody.

That city is about 792 miles east of Layton, on Interstate 80.

“We are working to reunite the victim with his family,” says a Layton City Police statement, issued Wednesday morning.

Zeman, 26, who was originally identified by one of his aliases, Hunter Fox, also goes by the fake names Hunter Wolf and Tadashi Kojima.

The Arizona resident had been communicating with the boy over the internet, and the child left his residence to meet the man.

Zeman was driving a 1998 white Toyota Avalon with a damaged to the front grill and a temporary tag from Arizona. It was not immediately clear if he was identified by the car he was driving and its tags.
