KAYSVILLE, Utah, June 27, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — An Amber Alert has been cancelled Monday evening when three children out of Kaysville were found in Salt Lake City.
Alpha Rogers and Qwita Solomon are suspected of taking the children, Queenie Rogers, 5, Christina Rogers, 10, and Rickie Rogers, 8, to avoid the Department of Child and Family Services from placing the kids into state custody, according to Kaysville Police.
Rickie is diabetic and did not have his medication.
The mother and the children were found at a 7-Eleven located in the area of 200 E. 800 South in Salt Lake City, and taken to the station for questioning.
Sgt. Todd Royce, Utah Highway Patrol, confirmed the vehicle was stopped near Meadow, which is 2.5 hours south of Salt Lake City.
“One of our troopers recognized the vehicle from the Amber Alert and initiated a stop,” Royce said. “I do not know the identity of the person they have in custody.”
