Apartment complex fire in Ogden causes $20,000 in damages, no injuries

OGDEN, Utah, Oct. 9, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — An apartment complex fire in Ogden early Sunday morning caused $20,000 in damages, but there were no injuries, officials said.

Tweets from Ogden City Fire Department said crews responded to the structure fire in the four-unit complex at 2581 Harrison Blvd. at approximately 3:20 a.m.

When crews arrived on scene they found heavy flames in the basement apartment, according to the tweets.

All apartments were searched and no occupants were inside. The blaze was quickly extinguished.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Streets in the area were shut down to allow investigators to complete their work, but have since reopened.
