SOUTH JORDAN, Utah, July 15, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — South Jordan police are seeking two suspects wanted in the Saturday morning robbery of a 7-Eleven.
Police responded to the convenience store, at 4000 West and 10400 South, just after midnight.
“The two arm suspects came into 7-Eleven, dressed in black, with their faces covered,” said Lt. Matt Pennington, SJPD. “They got away with a small amount of money, and they were gone before we got there.”
No one was injured in the robbery.
More than a dozen police units arrived within minutes of the hold-up, fearing a connection to a string of armed robberies involving two pizza shops and a Maverik gas station Thursday night.
Heavily-armed police ordered customers to come out of the store one at a time with their hands raised in the air. They were each hustled away once they made their ways outside and were held until police could determine if the robbers were among them.
A police chase was going on at close to the same time in Salt Lake City. Pennington said officers from South Jordan and Salt Lake City will convene Monday to try to determine if the cases may be related.
