BALLARD, Utah, Aug. 27, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A Uintah County Sheriff statement says a Ballard man died after being found unresponsive Saturday with multiple stab wounds.
Deputies were dispatched to the Ballard residence at about 9 p.m., and found Owen Shuck, 44, bleeding and unresponsive, the UCSO statement says.
“Life saving measures were performed on the victim on scene and at the hospital in Roosevelt before he was flown to the Wasatch Front, where he died the following day,” it says.
“The unknown assailant had fled the scene by the time law enforcement arrived, however investigators were able to identify a suspect, Brandin Reynolds, 42, of Roosevelt, early Sunday morning. Reynolds was taken into custody and is currently being held in the Uintah County Jail on a parole violation. Murder charges are expected to be filed this week.
“Investigators believe Reynolds targeted Shuck, but are still processing evidence while they look for a clear motive to the killing. Further information will be released when it’s available.”
Gephardt Daily will share updates as the case develops.
