Beto’s in West Valley City robbed at gunpoint

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Nov. 1, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed Beto’s Mexican Food, 3201 S. Redwood Road, on Monday night.

West Valley City Police Lt. Steve Burke said the suspect entered the restaurant shortly before 10:30 p.m. wearing black clothing and a skeleton bandana. He reportedly held up the clerk at gunpoint.

The suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash, which he carried away in the restaurant’s tip jar.

Burke said the suspect was described as a Caucasian male, about 30 years old. He was last seen heading north on Redwood Road.
