SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – October 28, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A man who was hit by a semi early Wednesday morning has died.
According to Salt Lake Police detective Dennis McGowan, Anthony Johnson, 33, was hit at 200 South Redwood Rd around 7 a.m by a semi towing two trailers that was making a turn onto I-80 Eastbound.
Police do not believe the driver of the semi was aware he had hit the cyclist as he continued onto the freeway and did not stop.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation and they are still attempting to locate the driver of the semi.
