Body found in marshes of Great Salt Lake; foul play not suspected

OGDEN, Utah, Nov. 7, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The body of a 40-year-old Ogden man was found by duck hunters in the marshes of the Great Salt Lake Saturday.

The hunters contacted the Weber County Sheriff’s Office just after 11:30 a.m. to report that they had found a body approximately halfway between Little Mountain and Fremont Island on west 12th Street.

Deputies found the body and identified John Michael Foulke. Foulke was not dressed for the weather, and it is unknown why he may have been in the area. He was last seen parking his car at the parking lot at Ogden High School, 2828 Harrison Blvd., on Oct 28.

At this time the cause of death is unknown, but foul play is not suspected.

Detectives are requesting that anyone that may have seen Foulke walking on or in the area of west 12th Street to contact them at 801-778-6631. Foulke was found wearing a dark long sleeve collared shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.
