SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 28, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials are investigating after a body was found on Interstate 80 near the Interstate 215 West northbound ramp on the north side of the road Friday afternoon.
A news release from Utah Highway Patrol said the body was reported by a passerby at about 3:30 p.m. Troopers responded, confirmed it was a deceased male and secured the scene.
The State Bureau of Investigation was called and is currently on scene.
“Agents will work with the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. It appears the body has been on the side of the road for more than a day. No lanes are closed and traffic is getting by with minimal delay,” the release states.
