FARMINGTON, Utah, Feb. 1, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Bountiful doctor faces 15 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to a crime against a child.
Nathan Clark Ward pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony, in exchange for the dismissal of four other charges.
The dismissed charges were sodomy on a child and forcible sodomy, both first-degree felonies; and two counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.
On Jan. 23, six additional charges were dismissed.
Ward, 57, is already facing a sentence of nearly 22 years in federal prison.
Ward, who formerly worked as an OB-GYN at a Bountiful clinic, is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 14.
