Bountiful Man Who Died When Truck He Was Working Under Rolled, Pinned Him Identified

BOUNTIFUL, Utah, March 3, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A Bountiful man who was working underneath his truck Wednesday morning and died when the vehicle rolled on top of him has been identified.

A press release issued by Bountiful City Police said a motorist passing a home near 900 North and 275 West just before 11 a.m. noticed a man pinned underneath a truck.

He has been identified as Ron Wood, 57, of Bountiful.

Bountiful Police officers and South Davis Metro Fire personnel responded, and were on scene within three minutes, but Wood was dead when they arrived.

A preliminary investigation by Bountiful detectives and the State Medical Examiner’s Office indicated that Wood had been working on the vehicle when it rolled down the driveway, causing his fatal injuries.
