BOX ELDER COUNTY, UTAH – July 7, 2015 (Gephardt Daily)- Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department has arrested all four inmates who didn’t return from court ordered work release last week.

The final inmate, James Dial, was arrested Wednesday night. “The Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department expresses it’s thank to all those assisted in capturing these four fugitives,” the department said in a statement.

According to officers, the four individuals, identified as Dial, 30, David Corbett, 22, Joel Myers, 27, and Jessica Myers, 25, walked away at different times and failed to return.

Officers arrested Corbett Monday morning and Joel and Jessica Myers Tuesday. The details of their locations and why they walked away from the program have not been released.

On it’s Facebook page, the Sheriff’s Department also gave an explanation of the difference between work search, work release, and inmate workers.

“Work search and work release are granted by the sentencing judge,” the department said in a statement. “They are the same in that the inmate is allowed to leave the jail in the morning and unsupervised with the understanding they will return to the jail in the evening. They are different in that work search is to find employment and work release is to maintain employment. Inmate workers work under the supervision of a deputy for the jail on county property.”
