UTAH COUNTY, Utah, Aug. 14, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Detectives are hoping to track down the owner of three $5,000 bronze sculptures found in sagebrush near Cedar Fort.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that deputies spoke to a man whose son was looking for deer antlers near Cedar Fort, and he came across three bronze sculptures that each stand about two-and-a-half feet tall.

“They were surrounded by and covered with sagebrush, and appeared to have been there for quite some time,” the news release said. “The sculptures depict young children engaged in various activities. One of them depicts a young child happily riding on a large snail. The sculptures are bronze casts from a well-known local artist who is unable to determine to whom they were sold.”

Anyone who may have information that could help in identifying the owner is asked to call the UCSO at 801-851-4010. If you call after hours or on weekends then leave a message and a detective will return your call.

Cedar Fort is just west of Eagle Mountain in Utah County.
