SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 15, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A two-vehicle crash near downtown Salt Lake City has brought traffic to a halt at 400 South and 700 East, and will no doubt delay TRAX for awhile, as the vehicles are on the rail line.
At about 9:40 p.m. Thursday, a passenger car and what appears to be a small-size SUV collided. One vehicle was smashed and the other rolled into a pole, scattering debris all over the roadway.
TRAX was not involved in the accident, but it’s expected that the rail line will be affected east and westbound down 400 South, a witness stated.
Police are on scene, and the accident is under investigation.
Gephardt Daily has a crew at the scene and will update this story as information becomes available.
