Grantsville Schools Locked Down While Police Search For Fugitive

GRANTSVILLE, Utah – Dec. 1, 2015 – (Gephardt Daily) — Four Grantsville schools were in lockdown Tuesday afternoon while police searched the area for a known fugitive.

According to a statement by the Tooele School District, Grantsville High School, Grantsville Jr. High, Grantsville Elementary and Willow Elementary were issued “shelter in place” orders to students and faculty while authorities carried out their search.

The school district had asked parents to wait for the all-clear before picking up students. They also alerted parents that buses for secondary schools would be delayed.
