BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Victims Identified In Payson School Bus-Truck Collision

PAYSON, UTAH – SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) –

Police in Payson have identified the two victims killed Tuesday afternoon when the pickup truck they were in collided head-on with a Nebo District school bus.

According to Payson Police spokesman, Lt. Bill Wright, Makia Love Boyd, 18 of Lehi, and Christopher Jay Cook, 22 of Payson, died in the 2:30 p.m. accident, which happened near 860 East Arrowhead Trail.

Two others inside the pickup, Alexandria Johnson, 20, and Colton Zobel, 21, both Payson residents, were injured in the crash.

The driver of the school bus, Lorrie Hone, 49, was also hurt.

All three were taken by ambulance to Mt. View Hospital

There were no students or other passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.

Investigators say the cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
