SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – September 1, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The identity of a man whose death in the Avenues police are calling suspicious has been released.
Investigators responded to reports of a man’s body in the area of 1185 East Chandler Avenue, Tuesday morning at 4 a.m. Medical responded and pronounced Robert Martin Carpenter, 34, deceased on scene.
Police say the man and his girlfriend had been taking meth last night when he suddenly disappeared after the two of them quarreled.
The girlfriend told police she later found her boyfriend unconscious and called for help.
The state medical examiner has taken custody of the body and will determine the cause of death.
