BOUNTIFUL, Utah, Dec. 17, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol is at the scene of a fatal accident in which a semi driver crashed his rig into an overhead sign support and concrete barrier on Interstate 15 in Bountiful.
The accident happened at about 8 p.m. Later Monday night, UHP tweeted:
“We have received confirmation that the driver passed away. At this point in our investigation, we know a medical problem contributed to the cause of the crash. However, we cannot say if the driver died from the medical problem or the crash.”
The name of the driver has not yet been released, and no other information was immediately available.
