SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 15, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A two-vehicle crash in downtown Salt Lake City brought traffic to a halt Thursday at 400 South and 700 East, and delayed TRAX because the vehicles were on the rail line.

At about 9:40 p.m.,  a passenger car and what appears to be a small-size SUV collided. One vehicle was smashed and the other rolled into a pole, scattering debris all over the roadway.

TRAX was not involved in the accident, the line was out of use while the rail line was cleared of crash debris.

One driver was cited for running a red light.
